Privacy

Privacy, in plain English

Last updated October 28, 2026

Short version: we keep what’s needed to run your account and count things in aggregate. We don’t sell data, we don’t run ad trackers, and we don’t build a profile of what you read.

What we store

Usage statistics

We count events per day (for example “12 lessons completed today”) to understand whether Scrollah helps people learn. These counts are not tied to your account or to what you read. A random device ID is used only to count distinct visitors per day. You can switch this off under You → Privacy & data; we also respect your browser’s Do Not Track setting.

Payments

When paid plans open, payments will be handled by a payment processor. We never see or store your full card number; we keep only your plan, its status and renewal date.

Ask Scrollah

When the AI study companion is switched on, your question and the passage it’s about are sent to an AI provider to generate an answer. We keep a daily count of questions to apply fair-use limits, not the questions themselves.

Third parties

Torah text and commentary are loaded from Sefaria; calendar dates come from Hebcal. Those requests go through our server, so those services don’t see your account.
